The NextGen site in the Port of Antwerp will soon become a hub for the circular economy. Bolder Industries is building its first European tire recycling plant and offices there. It will serve as a “flagship” campus for potential expansion across the rest of Europe. There is a strong focus on sustainability, with all buildings featuring green roofs; in addition, solar panels and turbines powered by waste gases will supply the plant with electricity. A 30-meter-wide green boulevard is planned, which will offer employees an oasis of tranquility. Bolderblack, a Bolder product made from recycled car tires, will be used for facade panels and road surfaces. Special attention was paid to the site’s layout to avoid bottlenecks.
