The new bicycle parking facility is part of the complete redevelopment of the station area on the Kasteelstraat side in Hove. It also connects to the provincial bicycle route between Antwerp and Kontich. Upon completion, the new bicycle parking facility will have a capacity of 298 spaces, with the potential to expand to a total of 346 spaces. The upper level connects to the Kasteelstraat and the pedestrian bridge over the tracks. The concrete floor slab of the upper level cantilevers over the lower level, which connects to the driveway of the new parking lot and the through bicycle path. Both levels are connected by two concrete staircases on either side of the bicycle parking facility. The roof consists of three sections, supported by a steel structure and clad with profiled steel sheets. The various rainwater drainage pipes are fully integrated into the round columns on the Kasteelstraat side. The staircases and the retaining walls surrounding them are constructed of exposed concrete. The retaining wall behind the lower level is clad with gabions filled with large rubble stones. Both the bicycle racks and the parapets are made of galvanized steel.
