The apartments are designed entirely according to the “plan libre” concept, in which only the exterior walls of the apartments are load-bearing. All interior walls can be moved freely. This makes it relatively easy to make adjustments to support sustainable, flexible, and lifelong living. Every apartment is accessible to wheelchair users. This was, among other things, a specific request from the nearby retirement home to incorporate this adaptability.
