The new building consists of a sports hall with multipurpose spaces, locker rooms, and restrooms. The building has two stories. The ground floor, which features a partially elevated area, is open to the public. The first floor will house a mechanical room and boiler room. An open plaza area is located at the front. The building’s design consists of a masonry base topped by an extension constructed of sandwich panels. This creates a nice balance between the budget-friendly, industrial construction of a large hall and the warmer, more inviting, human-scale brick architecture of the lower section. Large north-facing glass walls not only flood the gyms with light but also serve as an eye-catching feature along the avenue.
