Drukkerij Deckers Snoeck
Both studio, warehouse and also the offices have an industrial look. The finish of the offices is sober and consists of concrete and glass. The building is equipped with an underground buffer tank for rainwater of 150m³. This water is purified and used for various applications including the production process for making the printing plates (±50l/ plate, an average of 200 printing plates are produced per day). This used water is discharged back into the buffer tank after removal of the 0.5 percent by volume 'gel'. The water from the buffer tank is also used, after osmosis treatment, to dilute the printing inks in the printing process. A final and not insignificant use for the buffered rainwater is the flushing of 20 toilets and urinals in the building. In the new print shop, this results in a savings of about 1150l per day, an amount that in the old print shop was done with city water that was immediately discharged.
